Cody Johnson is teasing big things for this year, including a collaboration with Luke Combs!

In a recent chat, Cody talked about his recent two-night sold-out run at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena show, where Luke Combs was a surprise guest.

“Maybe…maybe. I’m going into the studio this year to go record a new album. There’s a certain song that I’m pretty certain. We’re just, we’re kind of playing with it. We’re going back and forth with it, and it could be in the works. I can neither confirm nor deny.”

Cody and Luke performed “Beer Never Broke My Heart” and the performance was electric.

He went on to say that they planned that song well before the show hit, and now he wishes their potential duet was recorded because they would have debuted that.

“Oh, we knew it was going to be…I was like, ‘Hey dude, do you want to come out and do the encore with me?’ This was weeks before the show, and he was like, ‘Yeah, what are we gonna play?’ And I was like, ‘Well we should record that freaking duet. We could’ve done that, you know?‘”
