Jamie Foxx’s Netflix special titled What Had Happened Was has been released.

In the set, Foxx revealed specific details about his mysterious medical episode that put him in the hospital in 2023 while he was in the process of filming a movie in Atlanta.

Foxx said, “It is a mystery. We still don’t know exactly what happened to me.”

He continued, “April 11 (2023), I was having a bad headache and I asked my boy for an aspirin. And I realized quickly that when you’re in a medical emergency, your boys don’t know what the f**k to do.”

Foxx added, “Before I could get the aspirin I went out. I don’t remember 20 days.”

Foxx had a brain bleed that led to a stroke and doctors needed to operate immediately.

He remembers waking up in a wheelchair on May 4th, 2023, and being told he had a stroke. Foxx said at the time, “Jamie Foxx don’t get strokes.”

The entertainer said doctors told him he would recover “but it’s going to be the worst year of his life.”
