One of Jason Aldean’s older kids, Kendyl, who he had with his ex-wife Jessica, celebrated her 17th birthday yesterday. He posted a sweet message to her on his Instagram.

“As parents we spend all the young years runnin and gunnin, just trying to keep up and raise good humans,” says Jason. “One day you wake up and they are almost grown and you realize you did pretty good at this dad thing.”

Jason’s wife, Brittany, put together a birthday party for Kendyl.
