Macaulay Culkin had big plans for the beloved Home Alone house!
The former child star said he considered buying the real home featured in the Christmas classic film when it was recently listed for sale.
“I had half a mind to buy it — just for giggles,” the actor admitted while speaking at a screening of the movie.
He went on to say he wanted to turn his old fictional home into a “movie fun house” where people could sled down the stairs just like Kevin does in the movie.
Ultimately, he decided against it stating, “I got kids. I’m busy, man,” he said. Culkin shares two toddler sons with his fiancée Brenda Song.
The Chris Columbus–directed film was a blockbuster hit that grossed $476.7 million worldwide, becoming the second-highest-grossing film of 1990.
Culkin has been honoring the movie’s legacy with his new multi-city tour, A Nostalgic Night With Macaulay Culkin that included a Q&A and concluded on Dec. 15.
