Roof collapse at University of Pittsburgh injures sixteen people

On Friday afternoon, there was a scary incident at a St. Patrick’s Day celebration near the University of Pittsburgh.

More than a dozen people were injured after the roof of a house they were standing on suddenly collapsed.

The tragic moment was captured on camera and posted on X.

The video shows a large crowd of partygoers having a blast.

As the camera pans to the right, you see a bunch of people hanging out on the porch roof of the house before the structure gives out and everyone drops to the ground.

“It all just happened in the blink of an eye, the roof just collapsed on us, it felt so scary, I really don’t have the words to comprehend how I felt in the moment,” said Michael Estocin who was on the roof when it fell.

Sixteen people suffered injuries and were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Three of the victims were in serious condition while 13 others sustained minor injuries.

All are expected to survive.

Reports say there were anywhere between 300-500 students in the courtyard during the collapse.
