Shakira had to cancel her Peru show for Sunday night after being sent to the hospital for abdominal pain.

She broke the news on her Instagram Story on Sunday afternoon and apologized to her fans in the city.

The global superstar wrote she had to go to the emergency room due to an “abdominal” condition and was currently hospitalized.

Shakira added that the doctors say she’s “in no condition to perform a concert tonight,” referring to the show scheduled for Sunday (Feb. 16) at Lima’s Estadio Nacional.

Shakira said her team is looking for a new date to reschedule.

“I’m very sad to not be able to get onstage today,” the singer added. “I’ve been full of excitement and anticipation to see my beloved Peruvian fans again. I hope to be better tomorrow and to be discharged as soon as possible to be able to give you the show I’ve prepared for all of you.”

Shakira’s “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” world tour kicked off last week in Brazil.
