UGA students win $400k and donate $400k to hurricane relief with field goal kick

ESPN’s College Gameday was in Athens this weekend for the UGA vs. Tennessee game, and during the show, Pat McAfee held a kicking contest, giving two UGA students the chance to win money for themselves, and donate money to hurricane relief.

The first 300 students that showed up at College Gameday got a raffle ticket.

UGA Student Belle Sessions showed up at 3 a.m. to enter the raffle, and she ended up winning. She told Pat she couldn’t make the kick, and he let her pick someone to kick for her.

She chose Henry Silver, another student who had been there since Friday at 6 p.m.

Henry made the kick, and the two split the money evenly.

They each took home $200,000 and $400,000 went to hurricane relief.
