LoCash

LoCash is a platinum-selling country-pop duo featuring singer/songwriters Chris Lucas and Preston Brust. Emerging in 2008, the pair issued two albums under the moniker LoCash Cowboys before shortening their name and releasing 2016's gold-selling Fighters, which included the number one single "I Know Somebody." They continued to see chart success with 2019's Brothers, 2021's Woods & Water EP, and 2023's patriotic stand-alone single "Three Favorite Colors." In addition to their own work, Lucas and Brust have penned hit songs for contemporaries like Keith Urban ("You Gonna Fly") and Tim McGraw ("Truck Yeah").

Chris Lucas and Preston Brust launched their career as the LoCash Cowboys. After a self-titled, self-released album appeared in 2008, the duo signed with R&J Records in 2009 and released a string of singles on the label, starting with 2010's "Here Comes Summer." After they wrote hits for Tim McGraw ("Truck Yeah") and Keith Urban ("You Gonna Fly"), they returned to work on their second album, but R&J went out of business in 2012, so the pair signed with Average Joe's and released the single "C.O.U.N.T.R.Y." that same year. Colt Ford appeared on the track's remix, then a second, self-titled album landed on Average Joe's in 2013.

A name change to simply LoCash came in 2015, along with the I Love This Life EP, which yielded a hit single of the same name. Riding on the momentum of their first Top Ten hit, LoCash returned in June 2016 with The Fighters, their third LP and first full-length for Reviver Records. The album debuted at number 14 on the country chart and cracked the Billboard Top 200 as well, thanks to the hit singles "I Love This Life" and "I Know Somebody." The pair kicked off 2018 with the January release of their feel-good single "Don't Get Better Than That." A fourth full-length, the Broken Bow-issued Brothers, arrived in 2019 and included the hit single "Feels Like a Party." In 2021, LoCash returned with the reflective Woods & Water EP, which included the hit "Beach Boys" (featuring Mike Love and Bruce Johnston). 2022 saw the duo team up with Leslie Jordan and Blanco Brown on the soulful "Let It Slide," and they kicked off 2023 with the stirring anthem "Three Favorite Colors." ~ David Jeffries
